The Sheboygan South High Boys Varsity Team prevailed tonight 67-59 against Kettle Moraine High School in what turned out to be a foul filled game.

I really like Halloween and I think it’s because my fiance does.  I really never thought much about it, other than candy of course, but since we met, there have been parties and every year the decorations get better and better.

As I was driving today, I noticed there are actually more people with decorations up than I thought I would see.  This goes hand in hand with stores that already had the candy and decorations for sale about 2-3 weeks ago.  Just because the store has it for sale, doesn’t mean that you have to buy it

I really like to check out the way people decorate their homes for this holiday.  Each one can really be much different from that last.  And of course, you have the SplatterHaus every year.  I think that gets a little louder and more insane every year.  If you want information on the Splatter Haus you can check out their website here.

Do you participate in Halloween with decorations?  If so, what is your favorite thing to decorate with?

Once again the city of Sheboygan is going to throw one of the largest music fests of the year and it’s called Brat Days!  Now, I haven’t been down to Brat Days in about 5 years, but I think it was about the time they were charging like 4 bucks for a CUP of beer (based on “drink ticket” prices).

This year I read they will be moving the main stage to the south of Kiwanis park and charging for entry.  The parking also went up $4 per car and I am sure the drink and food tickets aren’t getting cheaper.

So, as you can see there should be plenty of music for all ages.  I am sure it will still be a great time and I think that the weather might even be nice this time around.  Put the total cost to get loaded and see some good music and just go enjoy yourself.  Just try to keep the gang signs to a minimum

I got a message the other day from a reader that “loves that Sheboygan has a blog” and she suggested a new feature on the blog.  She mentioned that she is trying to plan a wedding and wanted to know more about vendors, fun restaurants and places for the reception.  I wrote her back and said that I would do my best to put up a blog post regarding these topics, perhaps in a series of posts over the summer months.

In posts that will be published over the next month or two, I will focus on what Sheboygan has to offer as far as planning a wedding.  With the help of friends, family and the yellow pages, it shouldn’t be too hard for me to come up with a nice list of places.

I think that it is pretty sad when you can’t drum up enough interest to have a Memorial Day Parade in Sheboygan.  Isn’t the Mayor trying to do something….can he do anything?  I would think the tourism director might have a handle on this or something.

What do the Vets in the Sheboygan area think about the cancellation of the Memorial Day Parade?  I really think that it’s pathetic that the city cannot drum up $1000 to cover the cost of the parade.  Why not sell sponsorships?  I know it won’t have anything to do with Blue Harbor, but hey, it’s worth a try, right?
