Sheboygan!? Do You Recycle?
As I drive around the city wasting more gas than I can afford, doing daily tasks that annoy me, I notice a bunch of things throughout the day. Some people don’t like to recycle. The bags are mixed, the blue bags, if they use them are half full or full of regular trash. Some people have bags of trash all over the place, including the well known black bags, and you know there are things that should be separated in the trash bag that are not.

When the city went to create this whole recycling program, what did they think was going to happen? I understand it was more of a nation wide push to recycle, but how many times do you hear about people just packing the trash into their garage or basement because they are too lazy to sort it and get it to the curb when they need to?
Landlords have some sick stories. If you know anyone that owns a home they rent out to people as additional income, ask them. I am sure they have a story or two about how the tenants they had at one time just piled trash up like crazy instead of taking care of it like any normal person is able to do.
What is it about recycling that is so hard for people? I don’t mind doing it one bit. We have two people in our home so garbage isn’t all that much. But even if I had a family of 6 I think I would still do my best to recycle. A separate container for all the different things makes it very easy to do.
I do like knowing that I might be making a difference, even if it is a small one. What do you do to help recycle things around your home?
