Computer & Internet Security
Do you know someone with a slow computer? Did they ask you to come over and check it out for them? What was the first thing you saw? Multiple toolbars, 34 icons racing across the bottom taskbar?
Believe it or not, many people are not computer literate and need help before it’s too late. My parents love to call me up and ask the same question “why is my computer acting up?”. Well, I have had a computer myself for over 10 years and it only took about 3-4 of those years to learn exactly what NOT to do on the computer or internet.
If you have ever had a virus or a crashed blue screen, you know what I mean. Computers can be fun and the internet is full of funny videos, make money schemes and information you can’t get anywhere else. But the internet is also dangerous if you do not know what you are doing.
Do you know what Geek Squad charges to come to your home and install Spyware Killer on your computer? Yes, it’s outragous, and if you have paid for the Geek Squad, try here first next time.
In the meantime, you should really read about how important computer and internet security are. These days a virus could take any and ALL information from your computer and use it against in ways you might not even realize. Hackers sit around all day and try to figure out ways to get your credit card information and use it.
If you haven’t seen the show that Dateline did about credit fraud, search for it and you will learn much about the ways hackers get your information. Don’t be that person, be ahead of the game and don’t let the hackers get to you.
You can read more about The Hackers Nightmare: The Bible Of Computer & Internet Security and hopefully things like that never happen to you.
