Check out JennaDesigns.blogspot.com for more information.

I was following along on Twitter today and noticed that JennaDesigns tweets were standing out a bit, so I did a bit of poking around. Come to find out that she is a mother of two and loves to design, sew and photograph the world around us.

With over 780 followers it would seem that she has quite the following, if you will. Her designs are VERY comforting and warm. As soon as I saw the potholders I felt like I wanted a set. With white edges and an almost mosaic design in the center, they really “pop” when you look at them.

She also has a shop at Etsy.com and you can see that here. There you will find Fine Art Photographs, Travel Tissue Holders, Snap Wallets, Bags, Items for Baby, Iron on Patches and more! According to her profile there, she has 76 items for sale and has 81 items sold since Aug. 2008.

So, when all is said and done, I was just cruising my Twitter account and thought I would do a little write up on someone that touched me positively today, even though it was on Twitter. I hope you enjoyed the post and maybe even visited JennaDesigns for more information.

As some, or most, of you know, the Mayor of Sheboygan is getting flack for just about every single decision, or lack there of, he makes. I decided to use that topic for this post. I am sure that being a mayor of a city, that basically is getting it’s but kicked by everything that isn’t good, isn’t very easy. I don’t mean to be a prick or anything or even claim that I could be a better mayor, but what about the common sense, bone-headed decisions that are made? Can you make a better mayor in that situation?

I really don’t follow politics all that much. I find that people that are really into politics are just as brain washed into believing certain things as the guy that watches re-runs of Seinfeld because THAT is what funny is all about. That’s really not the issue though. I don’t think that you have to be into politics to make a good decision for a community or city.

Do you think that some of the decisions regarding the City of Sheboygan could have been made differently by someone else?

I just finished the article by Sam Seboe in this Sunday’s press and I must say that she hit the nail directly on the head. I have always wondered who really makes up the sizes for clothing. Granted men do not go through what woman do with sizes, but I noticed changes in both over the last 10 years or so.

It makes perfect sense that this country has a weight problem and that woman and young girls have eating disorders. Everything is about eating or being thin, EVERYTHING! Watch commercials, movies, sitcoms and you will see the trend. We all know that celebs like to look their best and might even get paid to do so, but do you see the cost it puts in young girls minds?

Eating disorders is just the start. Young men and boys learn that woman should only look a certain way or they are “fat”. Granted that the intelligent ones will know better, but what percent is that?

I often wonder why one article of clothing can say XL and fit just fine, but the next article, made by another company, says XL and it’s a tight fit. That is when I realized that big business took over and are completely taking advantage of young adults.

I hope that everyone gets a little something from your article Sam, it was well worth the read.

I read through the forums and I think we all know who Asher Heimermann is. The young guy that is always posting his opinions and website information on the Press forums. Well, I try to read through as many posts as I can while at work (shhhh) and I really was surprised that I was unable to find anyone giving praise to Asher.

Why give praise you ask? Well, it takes a lot for a young man to become interested in things like politics, especially in this country. I watched the YouTube.com video of him on the news. I was impressed of the things on the video and it may have been the first time someone actually showed interest in his interests.

I think we all should be able to tell him “good job” or “keep it up”, he could be spray painting the town or stealing your car radio, but he is actually focused on something worth while! Good work Asher!
